Robbery at First State Bank in North Austin

Austin police say someone robbed the First State Bank on Parmer Lane in North Austin Thursday afternoon.

The robbery happened at the 3951 Parmer Lane location of First National Bank at 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

The suspect is described as a 45 year-old white male, salt and pepper clean cut hair, blue eyes, and 6'2" with a muscular build.

He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans.  He fled the scene in an older-model Jeep Cherokee with tinted windows and out of state license plates. 

The vehicle has a sticker on the back lift gate of the vehicle and was last seen heading southbound on MoPac. 

This is Austin's 15th bank robbery.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Robbery tip line at (512) 974-5092, Crime Stoppers at 472-TIPS or text "Tip 103" + your message to CRIMES.  You may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000 if your tip leads to an arrest or charges being filed.
