  • Fire severely damage Northeast Austin beauty store

    total beauty mart fireA fire broke out Friday morning at a business in Northeast Austin.

    The fire at Total Beauty Care on Rundberg Lane and I-35 caused major damage, estimated at $350,000.  Three nearby businesses received minor damage.  No one was hurt.

    The Austin Fire Department has ruled the fire accidental, caused by an electrical short in a neon sign.
